how to be rich - how to be a millionaire

In this week’s radio show episode of Finding Your Supreme Power we had the privilege of interviewing Texas real estate mogul, Kurt Carlton.

Kurt began his business endeavors in 2007 and has already earned over $150,000,000 in gross revenue — This is someone who you should definitely listen to if you want to know how to be rich — and certainly if you’d like to know how to be a millionaire.

One story that Kurt mentioned during the interview particularly stood out. It’s a true story — here it is:

There was a businessman who met a “success guru” at a conference. The businessman requested the success guru’s help. He wanted to know how to be rich – how to make millions in particular. So the guru said: “Meet me at the beach tomorrow.” The businessman got dressed for work and met the guru at the beach as agreed. When the businessman arrived, the guru told the man to go into the water, in his business suit and everything. So the man went in. The guru told him to go further in the water still…so the man went deeper into the ocean water. Finally, the guru went into the water too and pushed the businessman’s head under the water until he couldn’t breathe…finally, at just the right moment, he stopped pushing the businessman’s head under the water so he could come up for air. The business man asked the guru “Why on earth did you just do that?” The guru replied: “If you truly want to be successful and make millions and millions of dollars, you’ll need to want it as badly as you wanted that breath of air when I pushed your head under the water for that lengthy time period.”

And so, it is true.

When it comes to becoming rich and making millions of dollars there will inevitably be moments during your journey that are far from encouraging. You might even momentarily want to give up on some particularly tough occasions…(Keep in mind that this is true for ANY goal, not just for becoming a rich multi-millionaire).

But as long as you stick with it and persevere, your goals will definitely come true…If you really set your eye on becoming rich or becoming a multi-millionaire, you’ll make it.

Whether your goals are about making millions or billions of dollars or contributing to a philanthropic cause you deeply believe in…the rule is always the same. To truly reach your goal or become a rich multi-millionaire you have to want it for real – just as much as you’d want a breath of fresh air when your head is being pushed under water.
