Do you find yourself over 50 and broke?
Well in today’s economy, that’s not unusual, as a matter of fact it seems to be more of the norm. I was no exception, at the age of 56 I lost my mortgage business because of the housing meltdown.
Soon after, like dominos, I lost everything else. I was evicted from my apartment, I had my car repossessed and because I maxed out my credit cards trying to keep the business afloat and went through what savings I had, I had no choice but to crawl back to my x-wife for a place to live…and how humiliating do you think that was?! Isn’t it funny how life can take you down totally unexpected paths?
That’s exactly what happened to me when I started a company that became THE largest publisher of animation artwork for television commercials. We created the first ever animation art lines for Coca-Cola, Anheuser-Bush, M&M/Mars, Pillsbury, etc. This was my first experience in learning how to run a successful business.
